First Lady Melania Trump has marked the New Year by posting a rare, close-up selfie of herself. Mrs Trump posted the photo on social media on Tuesday after hosting a lavish New Year's Eve ball at Mar-a-Lago in Florida while her husband Donald remained at the White House. The First Lady's selfie had a glittery 2019 social media filter emblazoned across it. She posted just one photo to mark the New Year but several guests at the glamorous Mar-a-Lago party shared their own photos of the First Lady. Melania was dressed in a long-sleeved sparkly v-neck black dress and her son Barron was spotted wearing a black tuxedo during the event. Amanda Ungaro, the model wife of United Nations Ambassador of The Commonwealth of Dominica, Paolo Zampolli, shared a photo of herself posing with Melania during the event. She also shared an Instagram story of Melania chatting animatedly at a dinner table before panning to a smiling Barron. Among the other attendees posting photos was conservative Charlie Kirk. He also shared a selfie with Melania and his Instagram story featured a series of videos with Donald Trump Jr.'s girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle. President Trump has spent most of his New Year's Eves over the last decade at Mar-a-Lago but opted to spend the end of 2018 at the White House instead.
