Makhdoom Ahmad Mahmood Will Be The New Governor Of Punjab
Makhdoom Ahmad Mahmood will take oasth as the new governor of Punjab on Satureday. He will replace Latif Khosa. His name was proposed by former prime minister Gilani, in his meeting with president Zardari in Karachi. In his meeting with Zardari, Gilani suggested Makhdoom's name as governor to president. Ginani said that a good message will be conveyed to the people of Saraiki belt. The matters have been settled between People's party and Funtional Muslim League. Makhdoom Ahmad Mahmood is the MPA from Punjab and president of Punjab Funtional Muslim League. After the failure of Punjan PPP president Manzoor Watoo, Zardari agreed to follow the guidelines of Gilani to boost up PPP in Punjab. Sources say that Khosa, who was then advisor to Gilani for Information Technology was opposeed by Gilani as governor of Punjab. Because there were conflicts between Gilani and hoosa on the corruption of funds in IT minstery. Khosa had resigned after writing a letter to president. Makhdoom had been helping Gilani during the Saraiki province compaign. Makhdoom is MPA from Tehsil Sadiq Abad of district Rahim Yar Khan, his two sons are MPA's from Punjab, he is cousin of Pir Singhat Ullah Rashidi, he is the brother in-law of former minister Jahangir Tareen. His father Hassan Mahmood had been the chief minister of former state of Bahawalpur.
