The German First Lady Could Not Fulfill Her Desire To Drive A New Car
It was disclosed from the investigation of the journalists that Wolf couple was fond of having new cars. When Wolf was the prime minister of Lower Saxini he bought a new Scoda City car during 2010 on installments. In the matter Wolf tried to get maximum financial benefit and he was facilitated with the lower rate of monthly installment of 1 % while common German had to pay 1.5 % as monthly installment.
Wolf said that he was given the concession because he was the member of the board of Scoda manufacturing company Volka Wagon. But, this membership was offered to him in the capacity of a prime minister of the state that had 20 % shares in the in the company. Therefore, Wolf took the advantage of his office.
The first lady Belena Wolf read in a car magazine during summer of 2011 about the new OD model of Q-3 car. The writer had praised the car very much. So first lady got interested to drive the car, her secretary called the OD manufacturing company Volka Wagon and asked whether first lady could drive the new car on test drive basis.?
The new Q-3 car had to hit the market after a few months. During this phase 5 or 6 manufactured cars are driven by the auto-engineers of the company, to check any defect before being marketed. However, the director of the Volka Wagon could not reject the request of first lady and latest model brand new Q-3 was sent to Berlin.
But inspite of being the first lady Belena could not drive this car on road. Actually, the according to the law in Germany cars under test drive on roads have to display red colored number plate, while other vehicles have black plate. But, first lady did not want to drive car with red color number plate due to fear of being monitored by the media, so the car was returned back to the company. Compare the first ladies of third world countries and a first lady of the developed country, who could not dare to throw the number plate away and drive the car without any number.
