Due to indulging in a hate speech and threatening the life of activist and lawyer Jibran Nasir, PEMRA has issued an order that Aamir Liaqat shall not host in any TV program, or appear in any manner fresh, old, repeat including (but not limited to) as a guest, reporter, analyst, actor, in audio-video beeper, promo/advertisement of his program or in parson, in any manner whatsoever. PEMRA order also restrains Aamir Liaqat from appearing or speaking on other channels. But on Thursday night Aamir Liaqat went ahead with his show, hurling abuse at PEMRA and criticising its decision to take off his show off the air. As a result BoL TV was taken off-air in certain areas of the country. Over the past few days, Mr aamir had been at odds with other with other TV anchors and social media activists, going as far as declaring a large chunk of media-persons and civil society activists as non-Muslims, infidels, enemies of Islam and Indian agents. His tirades began following the disappearances of several bloggers and activists. Mr Nasir also claimed that while leveling the allegations of blasphemy, Mr Liaqat also glorified the criminal acts of MumtazQadri, a convicted person.
