Rani Mukarjee will play the role of a police officer in her upcoming film 'Mardani' for which she is passing her time in police station and with police officers. She will learn from the Bombai police officers how police responseds to crime, how theyt fight criminals and crimes and how they talk with criminals. She has also met te chief of crime branch of Bombai. She wants to give the role a real touch and is keeping eye on all the critical things to play as a cop in the film. Before this she had played the role of a journalist in two films, 'Bombay Talkies' and 'No One Killed Jessica'. In the Bombay Talkies film four different stories were shot that were directed by different directors and the actors were Amitabh Bachhan , Katrina and Sandeep. This time Rani is excited to play the role of police officer for which she is leaning all the manners, dealings and methods of investigating the crime cases by the police. During last days she walked on ramp dresed in wnter dresses and spectators warly appreciated her desings and Katwalk. She said she will hold such shows for promotion of her new film.
