Edward Snowden Applied For Asylum In Russia

US intelligence leaker Snowden has applied to Russia for political asylum, Russian officials say. The 30-yeasr old former analyst is believed to be hold up in a Moscow airport hotel. Earlier Russian president Valadimir Putin said Mr Snowden is welcome to stay as long as he stopped >" inflicting damage to our American partners." Mr Obama earlier speaking in Tanzania said 'Washington and 'Moscow had held high level discussion about Mr Snowden. He said "We are hopeful the Russian government makes the decisions based on the normal procedures regarding international travel and the normal interactions the law enforcement have."
