A Pakistani Woman And a Pakistani Transgender Earned Fame In Their Respective Fields
**-- Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy:- Pakistani film maker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy won the best documentary short award at 88th Academy Awards for," A Girl in the River: A Price Of Forgiveness", a film about a Pakistani woman who survived honour-killing. This was the second time that 37-year-old film maker won the Oscar Award. She previously received the award in the same category for her documentary " Saving Face". Any person who makes a film, writes a story or any thing other that give Pakistan's negative impression will always won awards from the west and a person showing nation's weaknesses will be awarded Nobel prize. It is understood. **-- Pakistan's First Transgender Model:- Kami Sid broke the social barriers and stereotypes with her recent photo shoot as she emerged country's first transgender model. She had dedicated her stunning photo session to ending phobia and misunderstanding regarding transgender people. The condition of the transgender community in Pakistan is in dire straits. Often shunned by their own family members, most of them end up being artists or street performers to earn a living.
