Pentagon Email System Has Been Hacked By Russian Hackers
A group of Russian hackers breached a security protocol of US Military's Joint Chief of Staff's classified email system, it was reported by CBS News. The system which was hacked is used in the Pentagon by 3,500 military officers and civilians who work for the chairman. The hackers got the password and signature of Martin Dumpsey, who retired in September, 2015. They hacked hundreds of passwords of other users who work through this email system. The hackers were good at their job and the only way to stop their hack was to take network down. Now, US blames Russia that the attack was intended not to spy but a full- on-assault, the only purpose was to cause damage and force Pentagon to replace Hardware and Software and it took two weeks to recover from the damage. US officials have accused Putin of supervising his intelligence agencies' hacking of US election in an effort to help Republican Donald Trump.
