Whatever your financial status is, money really does not care who you are. You can be black or white, fat or skinny, tall or short, gay or straight, and money has still the same value. As the gay community has grown in number and power over the past few decades. There have been many openly gay people who have broken the barrier. Gaga has had a multiple hit records and a slew of songs that have reached to the top of the charts. Gaga has confirmed that she was bisexual after her music video for "Poker Face" was released. She is also a huge ambassador of LGBT rights. **-- David Geffin ( $ 5.5 Billion): David Geffen moved from New York to Texas to attend college (and later returned to New York), but ended up dropping out of school to pursue a career in entertainment. After working in odd jobs in the industry, Geffen became an agent and used the money he made from the job to start his own record label. The first Geffen label was Asylum Records with Elliot Roberts, and a short decade later, Geffen started Geffen Records alongside Ed Rosenblatt. Geffen Records quickly became one of the largest record labels in the world with clients such as John Lennon and Elton John. When it was revealed that David Geffen was gay, it instantly made him the richest gay person in the world. With a net worth that is higher than most in his line of business, Geffen has a lot of clout and has used his influence to help support gay rights across the globe.
