After Phantom and Calende Girls, upcoming Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bollywood flick |Bajirao Mastani" seems to have run into trouble in Pakistan. The film depicts the life of Maratha warior king Bajirao Peshwa and stars Tanveer Singh, Deepika Pedukone and Priyanka Chopra, has filed to get no objection certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) of Pakistan. According to reports, Mubashir Hassan, the chairman of the CBFC stated that film is in Hindi language and per ordinance Hindi films can not be screened. He added that the historical drama was indirectly against Muslims and Islam, since it explores the relationship between Bajirao Peshwa and his Muslim wife Mastani. While there were speculations that film was banned because of some dialogues and intimate scenes, but Hassan clarified that these were not the reasons for banning the film. (WOH! nude scenes are not rendered objectionable by Censor Board in a Muslim country like Pakistan, and these may be allowed by the ordinance of the Board).
