Pakistani Diplomat In Bangladesh Ordered To Leave The Country
Pakistan and Bangladesh has taken a tense turn as Bangladesh government has declared a Pakistani diplomat in Dhaka persona non grata and ordered him to leave the country.The Pakistani diplomat Mazhar Khan of High Commission in Dhaka has been charged with running illegal Indian currency business and alleged him of having relation with 'militants'. .Pakistani foreign office has confirmed that the official has reached Islamabad, and rejected the allegations on diplomat and declared the incident as unfortunate. Tensions have also risen between the two countries over executions carried out by the government of prime minister Sheikh Hasina against alleged war criminals from 1971 war, when the former East Pakistan became Bangladesh. In December 2013, the Pakistan's envoy in Dhaka had been summoned by the govt regarding a resolution adopted by Pakistan parliament condemning the excution of Jamaat e Islami leader Abdul Qadir Mulla for his involvement in alleged war crimes of 1971.
