An MPA and former minister of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Chaudhry Abdul Waheed Arain has been disqualified for life for contesting election by an election tribunal in Multan, due to charge of having dual identity cards. The election tribunal issued a 23-page detailed judgement oredering re-election on PP-196. It is also pertinent to note here that election tribunal earlier disqualified Punjab minister for prisons for possessing two identity cards, The petitioner had alleged that the minister had two Id cards and he deceived the pettioner hence he should be disqualified.
