NADRA Crisis, Thousands Of ID Cards Could Not Be Issued

After the resignation of former chairman Tariq Malik, National Database And Registration Authority is facing a serious crisis due to non appointment of permanent chairman and the issuance of 150,000 NICs and other documents has been stopped. Interior ministry had handed over the additional charge of the office of chairman NADRA to additional secretary interior Imtiaz Tajwar, but he is illegible to sign on ID cards and 'B' forms. So, the applicants are facing difficulties due to incapibility of the government and interior ministry. Therefore, the process of issuance of thousands of ID cards, birth certificates, death certificates, Nikah certificates, family certificates, form 'B' and other documents is stopped due to which people within and abroad are facing troubles.
