Dutch researchers are creating a form of synthetic skin tough enough to stop a speeding bullet. According to reports, researchers genetically engineered goats to produce milk packed with the same protein as silk spiders.
Dutch researcher, Jalila Essaidi said keratin; the protein responsible for the toughness of human skin will be replaced by the spiders protein. She added that this was possible by adding silk producing genes of a spider to the genome of a human, creating a bulletproof human.
