ICC Champaions Trophy 2017 Schedule Has Been Announced
Pakistan will play against its arch-rival India on June 4 next year in the last edition of ICC Champions Trophy at Edgbaston, Birmingham, as the schedule of the mega event announced by International Cricket Council (ICC). According to the fixture, for the tournament to be played from June 1-19 to be played in England next year, top eight ODI teams in the ICC ranking have been divided into two groups A and B, with arch-rivals Pakistan and India in the same group (B). The last time the Asian giants played in the event in 2013 and India beat Pakistan in the rain -affected match by eight wickets. However in the 2009 edition, Pakistan beat India by 54 runs in South Africa which marked the 'Green Shirts' first victory in a global event over India. Ticket ballot for Champion Trophy will open on Sept 1 and will close on Sept 30, all remaing tickets will go on general sale in October. First match will be played between Bangladesh and England on June 1, second between Australia and New Zealand on June 2. First semi final will be played on June 14, second on June 15 while final match will be on June 18.
