It is interesting to know that many famous English novels and books that would be remembered for ever have been written in different coffee houses of Europe. Moreover, several stories that took birth here have their impact on various English and French novels and fictions. While, many western literary masterpieces have clear glimpses of these coffee houses. If seen in the past perspective the restaurants in and around Paris are more famous.
Lardtonde coffee house of France remained the center of writers and literary persons in every age, specially the duration between the two World Wars. The legendary artist Picasso used to spend his most of the time here. His studio was nearby to the cafe. Ernst Hamming way and T.S Eliot also had their sittings here.
"Lee Dome" tea house of Paris got known to many intellectuals in the beginning of 1900's. It was also known by the name of Anglo American coffee house. Khalil Jibran, Picasso, Lenin and Earnest Hamming way sat for hours in this restaurant.
"Lace Duekas Margotus", a tea house of traditional age is located in the suberbern area of Paris. Once it used to be the sitting place of top most writers and intellectuals of the city.This was the favorite place of Earnest Hamming Way. It was named after eighteenth century's French drama Les Deukus Magotus De La China( Two statues Of China) and it has been mentioned in many novels too.
Earnest Hamming Way and his contemporaries used to sit in Cafe De Floor too. This coffee house announced an annual literature prize " Prize De Floor" in 1994 for writers. This prize was for young French authors that included daily one glass of white wine free for a year in addition, to cash prize. Other favorite tea house of Earnest Hamming way were "Bingo Bar" and Henry's "New York Bar" both are located in Paris. "La Klozi Des Lalas" is also a historical tea house of Mount Parnesy. It was the meeting place of the top most intellectuals like Henry James, Leon Tronisky, Gart Rose and E.Hamming Way.
Other coffee houses in Europe include:- Lakao Pole in Mount Parnasy Near Paris, Cafe Mount Martary (Prague) Zchek epublic ( sitting place of German and Zchech writers, like Franze Kalka, Edward Yas, and Max Broode). Eteko Cafe Grego (Rome) that remained meeting place of Lord Biren, Jan Kates, Henrek, Naunce Chritian Endersen. Cafe Geobi Rose in Florence (Italy) being a favorite place of Italian poets where waiters had special uniform. It was the gathering place of Italian literary minded intellectuals and it has the honor of being the birth place of Italian artistic and social "Futurist Movement" that was based on the slogan of modernization.
