Sixteen Hackers Arrested For Cyber Crimes In US

US authorities on Tuesday arrested 16 people for cyber crimes including 14 over an on line attack on the Pay Pal website claimed by the hacking group "Anonymous,’ the Department of Justice said.
The US indictment against the 14 hackers alleges the denial of service (DDoS) attacks on Pay Pal were "retribution" because the site terminated a donation account for the whistle-blowing group WikiLeaks.
The Paypal attack suspects were arrested in raids in Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Washington DC, Florida, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Mexico and Ohio, US officials said in a statement.
Two suspects were arrested under separate indictments but similar charges in Florida and New Jersey, while British police arrested one suspect and Dutch police four, it said.
In all FBI agents made 35 raids across the US as part of a probe into "coordinated cyber attacks against major companies and organizations," the FBI said.
Anonymous, an international hackers group, rose to fame with a series of attacks on websites linked to the Church of Scientology. The group gained further prominence after launching retaliatory attacks on companies perceived to be enemies of the whistle-blowing website Wikileaks.

Hearing Of Spot Fixing Case Against Three Pakistani Players

The Crown Court in London heard the corruption case against three Pakistani players involved in spot fixing scam on Tuesday, it was reported.
According to the details, Justice Cook conducted the hearing. The judge on Wednesday would decide if the proceedings of the case would continue or not.
Mohammed Aamir and Mohammed Asif along with their lawyers attended the hearing. Salman Butt’s lawyer is representing him while he was absent. Mazhar Majeed was also present in the court.
During proceedings, lawyers of the players stated that the case against them should be dismissed.
The arguments of lawyers would continue tomorrow after which court will rule if the case would be dismissed or not.

USA Owes Trillions Of Dollars To Other Countries

The America has total debt of $114.32 trillion, and out of this $100 trillion are to be spent in all costs at social security in near future. If social security expenses are deducted then $14.32 trillion is not an ordinary amount of debts. Does not it indicate that fall of USA's economy is near? Out of this internal debt USA owes $4.5 trillion to Japan, China, Britain, Gulf States, Brazil and Russia. Today the situation is that American government if spends one dollar for its own expenses , 42 cents are those of loan. It means that American government spends whatever its expenses are out of loans. Therefore, the roads, bridges, airports, and infrastructure of schools is in worst condition due to lack of funds.
Some experts are of the view that though internal debts have huge volume but it is not so dangerous , government can print new notes but others do not agree , it will increase inflation rate and the goodwill of the government will be affected negatively.The bonds issued by the USA would not be purchased by other countries or people. Neither they will invest in the government sector that will have bad impact on the economy.
The question is that how level of debts reached to sky touching level? The internal debt of the government during 1980 was $ 909 billion, that reached to $5.7 trillion in 2000, while during the Bush era (2001-2008),it reached to $10.7 trillion and now Obama administration took it to $14.32 trillion.

India Discovers The Largest Uranium Reserves In The World

A new mine in south India could contain the largest reserves of uranium in the world, a government official said in remarks reported Tuesday, signaling a major boost for the energy-hungry nation.
The Tumalapalli mine in Andhra Pradesh state could provide up to 150,000 tonnes of uranium, Srikumar Banerjee, secretary of the Department of Atomic Energy, told reporters after a four-year survey of the site was completed. "It's confirmed that the mine has 49,000 tonnes of ore, and there are indications that the total quantity could be three times that amount," Banerjee was quoted as saying in an Indian Newspaper. "If that be the case, it will become the largest uranium mine in the world," he said.
Previous estimates suggested that only about 15,000 tonnes of uranium would be produced at the mine, which is due to start operating by the end of the year.
S.K. Malhotra, spokesman for the Department of Atomic Energy, said that experts at the Tumalapalli mine were "quite hopeful" that the eventual volume from the mine would reach 150,000 tonnes.
But he warned that "it is not high-grade uranium, it is low-grade uranium.
We have not found any high-grade uranium in India to match that found in Australia."
Major exporter Australia has so far rebuffed Indian requests for supplies of the heavy metal, which is refined into nuclear fuel, because the country has not signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
The government has been seeking new supplies of uranium worldwide and has concluded supply deals with France, Kazakhstan and Russia among others. "The new findings would only augment the indigenous supply of uranium. There would still be a significant gap. We would still have to import," Banerjee was quoted as saying by The Hindu newspaper.
India's fast-growing economy is heavily dependent on coal, getting less than three percent of its energy from atomic power. It hopes to raise the figure to 25 percent by 2050.
Construction began on Monday of two new indigenously-designed 700-megawatt nuclear plants in the western state of Rajasthan, the government said in a statement.
India currently has 20 nuclear reactors generating 4,780 megawatts of power, plus seven reactors with a capacity of 5,300 megawatts under construction, it said.
New Delhi,backed by the US won a special exemption in 2008 from the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG), which governs global nuclear trade, to allow it to buy reactors and fuel from overseas.
The country had been subject to an embargo since 1974 when it first conducted a nuclear weapons test.
Countries are normally required to have signed the nuclear non-proliferation treaty and open their reactors to international scrutiny before they can buy atomic technology and uranium.
Companies from France, Russia, the United States and Japan are competing for a slice of the $175 billion that India plans to spend on nuclear reactors.
Since Japan's Fukushima crisis in March, environmentalists have campaigned to stop construction of new nuclear plants in India but the government has vowed to press ahead with its plans.
Regular protests have been held by residents at Jaitapur on the west coast of India, where a huge six-reactor, 9,900-megawatt plant is scheduled to begin construction in 2013.

The total volume of USA's internal debt has reached to the level of $ 14.32 trillion that equals to its total GDP. This way United States is under a heavy load of loans. It means that American government spends more that its income.
Obama administration is trying to get the debt limited increased by the congress to $16 trillion. It is worth mentioning that no limit of loans is fixed in other countries including Pakistan.But in the USA congress fixes the limit. Therefore talks have been initiated between government (Democratic party) and the opposition (Republican Party).
The problem is that congress has to extend the limit by August 02, otherwise American government will default and the honor would go to Obama government. Obama is trying to avoid the extreme situation, it is hoped that congress would increase the internal loan limit by the scheduled date.

CIA Will Resume Its Operations In Pakistan

CIA will resume its normal operations in Pakistan in return for the US spy agency sharing with the Pakistanis more information "in theory, at least" about what its operatives are doing in the country under new rules agreed by the intelligence chiefs of the two countries.
In an article published on Monday, citing US and Pakistani oficials, gave out some more details of the outcome of the recent meeting in Washington between ISI chief Lt. Gen. Ahmed Shuja Pasha and CIA's acting director Michael Morell, saying there was now renewed cooperation between the feuding “odd couple” of intelligence.
David Ignatius, the noted Post columnist and author, wrote, "The token of renewed cooperation: The Pakistanis have approved 87 visas for CIA officers working in the country that will bring the agency back toward normal operations in Pakistan, after what both sides say was a low point after the January arrest of CIA contractor Raymond Davis. He was seized in Lahore after killing two Pakistani surveillant; he was released after the CIA agreed to pay more than $2 million in 'blood money' to compensate the families of the two victims.
"Under new rules of the road, the CIA in theory, at least will share with the Pakistanis more information about what its operatives are doing in the country. Sources say, for example, that joint CIA-ISI counter-terrorism operations have resumed.
